Short Range County Championships

The Kent short-range championships is a two-stage competition: the initial round is run as a postal competition, from which the top 20 shooters qualify for a shoulder-to-shoulder competition.

The postal round is shot in the summer months, with the final held in early September, usually at Ashford Rifle Club.

Prizes are awarded to the overall top scorer in the final, plus the top-scoring lady and top-scoring junior.

This competition also forms a part of the Peter Packham Championship - the Peter Packham trophy is awarded to the shooter with the highest combined score from the Kent long-range and short-range competitions.

In addition to the individual competition there is a concurrent club team competition.

This competition is open to members of affiliated clubs, and individual affiliated members.
