County Cup & BSA Cup

These are annual NSRA-organised Inter-County competitions for .22 rifle. Each county elects their own date and range for firing the competitions, on one day between January and the end of September, and the cards are returned for central scoring. The County Cup is an open team of 12, firing a single dewar course, i.e. 20 shots at 50m and 20 shots at 100yds. The BSA Cup is a team of 12, consisting of 20 shots at 25yds.

Ladies Long Range Competition & Mrs Charles Law Trophy

These competitions are ladies versions of the above Inter-County competitions.

Marks Shield & Invicta Cup

This is an annual Home Counties competition, for teams representing Kent, Surrey, Essex, Hertfordshire and Middlesex. The competition is a shoulder-to-shoulder event, with the host county rotating each year. The course of fire is usually ‘through-the-ranges’, i.e. 20 shots at 25yds, 20 shots at 50m, and 20 shots at 100yds. The Marks Shield is an open county team, currently of 12 with the best 8 scores to count. The Invicta Cup is a ladies team, currently of 5 with the best 3 scores to count.

Additionally, county representative teams compete in a variety of competitions at the National Championships at Bisley in August each year, results of these can be found in the Bisley Newsletters in the ‘Results’ section of this website.
